Stress as Occupational Hazard

Stress is an occupational hazard.  Stress can be minimised by:

  • Ensuring Employees enjoy appropriate, safe working conditions
  • Clearly defining roles and responsibilities
  • Providing support for Employees;
  • Providing realistic expectations and timeframes.

Employees must follow the health and safety procedures established by the Employer and/or the person directing support.  If an Employee identifies any health and safety hazards that place themselves or their Employer at risk of imminent serious injury or illness, Employees should notify the person directing support and make steps to rectify the situation.
